Bolt Thrower’s fifth album For Victory both imagines scenes of terror and creates its soundtrack. With track titles like ‘Remembrance’, ‘Lest We Forget’ and ‘Forever Fallen’, its central theme screams out from the back of the vinyl case – this album is a plunge into the horrors of a warzone. Alongside that, it’s also a ravaging exercise in sonic brutality, viciously heavy yet with an artfulness to their riffs, thanks to their adeptness in fret-searing soloing. A must have record for any Death Metal collection. .
